01. STORY

A friend and artistic collaborator came to me needing logo variations for a sitcom based on a failing Coffee shop within a museum. They provided an original logo (Figure 1.) as inspiration.

02. CHALLENGE

On top of a quick turnaround, the team wanted a mascot that was funny (not frightening), out-dated, really lived in, and straight out of the 90s. They came with a super clear purpose in storytelling and partially built branding kit.

03. APPROACH

I did several illustrations (Figure 2.), we landed on a T-rex fossil sipping coffee. The skull is also a coffee bean, and the jaw is slightly agape as if he was having a few laughs and enjoying the smell of his latte. The secondary logo is also a museum seal, to provide further world-building.
